• Have been enrolled in a Massachusetts community-based Adult Basic Education, GED,
or ESOL (ESE) funded program within the past 10 years.
• Have a Social Security Number & Photo ID
• Be a Massachusetts resident
• Be an American Citizen OR have a permanent residency status ~ ("Green Card")
• Have a GED or are near completion, or be an ESOL student with a high school diploma
from the native country that can be certified by the Center for Educational Documentation
located in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to read at a college level as determined by a standardized
assessment.
• Must have a minimum score of 500 on the MAPT for Reading and a minimum score of
400 on MAPT for Math
• Be able to participate in postsecondary level academic classes conducted in English.
• Be available two evenings a week from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. |

• Beginning Windows
• Beginning Microsoft Word
• Beginning Microsoft Excel
• 3-Credit Intro to Algebra Course

• Fundamentals of Math, Reading and Writing Courses available through our Adult

The College Transitions Program is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department
of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) and is FREE to all who meet the eligibility
