Robing Rooms | Gown Rental
REHEARSAL
Tuesday, May 27, 6:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Brockton Campus, Asiaf Field House. All Potential Graduates are expected to attend. You will not need your cap or gown.
The Massasoit Alumni Association cordially invites you to attend a Reception for Graduates in the Parquet Room, upper level, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. immediately following rehearsal.
Honors Convocation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, from 7pm – 9pm in the Anna Buckley Fine Arts Theatre on the Brockton Campus. Students receiving an award or scholarship will be honored that evening. Notification will be sent to the selected students by the Office of Student Life.
A Reception will be held immediately following Convocation in the Fine Arts Lobby. Recipients, their families and guests, students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend this special event.
Friday, May 30th, at 6:00 p.m., Brockton Campus, Asiaf Field House
Students must have completed all their requirements prior to Graduation in order to participate in the Ceremony.

The Ceremony will be approximately 2 hours.
Graduates are expected to cross the stage to receive their diploma. The stage has ramps for easy access. If crossing the stage presents a problem, please contact the Dean of Students Office, Brockton Campus, SC208, or call 508-588-9100 x1402.
A sign language interpreter will be available for the hearing impaired.
STUDENT GRADUATION SPEAKER
All potential Graduates are invited to submit a speech to be presented at Graduation, Friday, May 30. The speech should reflect upon the impact Massasoit Community College has had on their lives and the lives of their fellow Graduates; the speech should be 3 minutes or less. Please submit typed written speech with name and phone number to Dean of Students, Maureen Thayer, Brockton Campus, Student Center SC208, or email speech to mthayer@massasoit.mass.edu by April 30. A committee of students, staff, and faculty will review the speeches and make the selection by May 9.
INVITATIONS
Graduation Packets will be sent in April from the Dean of Students. Each Graduate will receive four tickets. Guests will be admitted to the Field House by ticket only. Guests without tickets may view Commencement via large screen in the air-conditioned Fine Arts Theatre.

Qualified prospective Graduates may purchase their academic attire at the Bookstore
beginning in May. Exact dates and times will be included in the Grad Packet.
PARKING
All parking lots may be used by Graduates and their guests.
Carts to transport those with special needs will be available in each of the parking lots.
ARRIVAL Participants must be in their designated Robing Rooms by 4:30 p.m. Robing Rooms will be listed in the Grad packets. Late arrivals will be placed at the end of the Graduation line.
Graduates with a 3.9 GPA or higher will receive a Gold Cord at the Check-in Point.
GRADUATION PHOTOS
A professional photographer will be taking photos of the Graduates as they receive their diplomas. There is no obligation to purchase the photos. More information will be included in the Grad Packet. It is respectfully requested that guests remain in their seats during the Ceremony so as not to obscure the view of others or block the Processional of Graduates. We encourage guests to take pictures either before or after the Ceremony.
Recessional Line
At the end of the Ceremony, the platform party, faculty, and staff will form a Recessional Line to congratulate the Graduates on the walkway that leads to the Quadrangle, weather permitting.
PRESIDENT’S RECEPTION
Following the Ceremony, Graduates and their guests are invited to the President’s Reception
in the Quadrangle, weather permitting. If inclement weather, reception will be held in the Cafe, Student Center.
DIPLOMAS
Graduates not attending the Ceremony may obtain their diplomas in the Brockton Registrar’s Office during the two weeks following the Graduation Ceremony. On June 16, diplomas not picked up will be mailed.
DVD’S
DVDs of the Ceremony may be purchased from Massasoit TV Studio.
Specific information and cost will be included in the Grad Packet.
OBLIGATIONS
All financial obligations, library books, and equipment must be cleared by May 15.
The College congratulates you on your accomplishments. We look forward to seeing you at Rehearsal on May 27.
