Massasoit Community College can offer you the opportunity for an outstanding education, but also the chance to play highly competitive baseball. The Massasoit baseball program features fourteen to sixteen scrimmages in the fall, a twelve game Florida spring training trip, and a thirty game schedule upon return from Florida. The 42 games we play in the spring allow a player the opportunity to be seen by many professional and college scouts.
The Warriors play their home games on the Massasoit campus,at Louis R. Colombo Field. The Asiaf Field House allows for winter workouts: featuring indoor batting cages, pitching machines,and the space to conduct full scale pitching and infield drills.
Over the past 14 years, Massasoit players have transferred to schools like North Carolina State, University of Maine, University of Rhode Island, Florida Southern College, Eckard College, Bryant College, Georgia State College, U Mass Dartmouth, U Mass Boston, Eastern Connecticut State University, Bridgewater State College, Westfield State College, Suffolk University and University of Southern Maine. In addition five players have been drafted by major league teams. Over 75% of the players who come to Massasoit end up transferring to a four year school and continuing with their baseball and academic pursuits |
