Brockton, MA - Despite the dreary weather, the Massasoit Community College Brockton Campus was in good spirits today for the Stuff-A-Cruiser Toy Drive organized by College Police. The event was held outside the Student Center in the campus quad and drew hundreds of students and staff to donate new, unwrapped gifts to support the local Toys for Tots campaign.

Participants were treated to a surprise when New England Patriots player Vince Wilfork showed up to support the event. Vince spoke with officers, students, and staff about the importance of giving back to the community and helping those in need. He thanked everyone for their generosity before posing for a few photos and then accompanied Chief Cummings and the officers to Eastern Bank for the drop off of gifts. “Being a partner with our local college community and beyond, the Massasoit Community College Police Department is in a unique position to help those in need, especially during the holidays.  The College Police Department takes part in multiple charities during the holidays each year.  This year, I as well as the rest of the members of the Department wanted to do something special, and with the assistance of our College community and Vince Wilfork, we were able to do just that, “ said Massasoit Community College Police Chief Chris Cummings.
