Massasoit Community College to Offer Home Health Aide Certificate Program
in Partnership with Father Bill’s & MainSpring

100-hour Home Health Aide Program to begin Thursday, June 27

Brockton, MA – Massasoit Community College is offering a 100-hour Home Health Aide Certificate Program that will begin on June 27, 2013. Classes are scheduled to meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Brockton Campus. The program will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to enter the healthcare field as a home health aide.

Classes will be taught by Pat Boyd, RN, BSN. Ms. Boyd is a registered nurse who has been practicing for more than 20 years in the areas of cardiac care, geriatrics, and home health. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Theta Alpha Chapter. Students will receive training in the three home health career areas – homemaker, personal care homemaker and home health aide. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a Home Health Aide certificate.

This is a Section 30 approved program that also qualifies for federal Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and Individual Training Account (ITA) funds.
