|Brockton, MA –Massasoit Community College and Stonehill College recently signed agreements that will provide Massasoit Community College students and graduates more opportunities to further their higher education.
Massasoit students who transfer to Stonehill College under the Dual-Degree Transfer Agreement can apply up to 60 Massasoit credits toward a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill—as long as a grade of C or higher is earned in each course. Students who enroll at Stonehill prior to completing all their coursework toward a degree at Massasoit will be able to transfer the credits back to Massasoit to be applied towards the requirements for an associate’s degree.
Additionally, Massasoit students with an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher who transfer to Stonehill under the Dual-Degree Transfer Agreement will be eligible to receive a $10,000 Massasoit Transfer Scholarship.
“Massasoit is proud to offer this new opportunity to our students. The two colleges have a long history of collaboration and we are very pleased to deepen our relationship with Stonehill College,” stated Dr. Charles Wall, president of Massasoit Community College.
Stonehill’s Dean of Academic Achievement Craig Almeida, stated that “Both colleges recognize the value in providing collaborative higher education opportunities for to help students achieve their goals. This opportunity combines the benefits of a Massasoit associate’s degree with the advantages of a Stonehill College bachelor’s degree.”
