Massasoit Community College Visual Arts Professor Holds MFA Thesis Exhibition At The Dibden Center For Arts At Johnson State College, Vermont

Brockton, MA – Massasoit Community College visual arts professor, Scott Ketcham,  recently held his MFA thesis exhibition at the Dibden Center for the Arts at Johnson State College in Vermont. The opening and lecture was held on January 30, 2014 and the show ran from January 26 through February 8. Featured were over fifty oil paintings and sculptures based on the theme Beauty and Darkness.

Professor Ketcham opened the show with a riveting lecture on his need to paint and his current imagery. His painting process was chronicled in an animated video, edited by Greg Dunn, a graduate of Massasoit’s Graphic Design program and current degree candidate in Animation at Mass College of Art & Design.
Founded in 1966, in the heart of southeastern Massachusetts, Massasoit Community College is a public two-year college in the Massachusetts Public Higher Education System. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), one of the six regional accrediting bodies in the United States. Many departments carry additional accreditations. The College offers a full spectrum of associate’s degree programs in arts, sciences, and applied sciences as well as one year and short term certificates across a variety of occupations and interests. In addition the College offers corporate and job skills training courses.
