Canton, MA – In the spirit of the holidays this year, a raffle of donated prizes was the highlight of the Canton Campus Holiday Celebration on December 16th. The raffle was inclusive of the Brockton, Canton and Middleboro locations. Some very generous donations were received from local businesses and supporters of the college’s plan to donate 100% of the raffle proceeds to veteran’s service providers.

A net total of $1,006.00 was raised. The proceeds were shared between Massasoit Community College Veterans Services, and the Brockton VA Hospital.

A small gathering took place at the Canton Campus of Massasoit Community College on December 27th, where a check to the Brockton VA Hospital was presented for $750.00. The donation will be used toward the purchase of a High Definition Television for the Spinal Cord Injury Unit. In addition, a donation of $256.00 was made to Massasoit Community College Veterans Services.
Founded in 1966, in the heart of southeastern Massachusetts, Massasoit Community College is a public two-year college in the Massachusetts Public Higher Education System. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), one of the six regional accrediting bodies in the United States. Many departments carry additional accreditations. The College offers a full spectrum of associate’s degree programs in arts, sciences, and applied sciences as well as one year and short term certificates across a variety of occupations and interests. In addition the College offers corporate and job skills training courses.
