The following report is mandated by Title II, the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990. Massasoit Community College, one of the largest of 15 community colleges supported by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is a dynamic community resource situated on two permanent campuses and several satellite sites. The College operates year round, often seven days a week, to meet the educational, recreational, and cultural demands of the thousands of people within its service area of the state.
CRIME REPORTING
The Campus Police organizes informational programs and disseminates literature to alert members of the community about safety and security hazards and proper procedures to report hazards and incidents to the Campus Police. All reports of hazards and incidents made to the Massasoit Police Department are recorded in the official police log. An accident report or police report is initiated and filed at the Department Office. Investigations are conducted in accordance with policies and procedures outlined in the Department operations manual.
