If you have never taken an online course, you are strongly encouraged to participate in an orientation to online learning. We offer both online and face-to-face orientation sessions.
Note: If you are taking an Online Mathematics Course, MyMathLab will be used as the primary online tool throughout your math course. You will be oriented to MyMathLab by your instructor at the beginning of your course. Prior to the start of the semester, your instructor will email you a syllabus with directions for accessing MyMathLab and other important course information. If you would still like to learn about Canvas, where you will get your course syllabus and directions for accessing MyMathLab, consider one of the orientation options listed below.

Canvas Walk-through
This 40 minute walk-through is a guided virtual tour of Canvas. It can be accessed any time.Be sure to turn your speakers on to hear the audio.
Canvas Orientation Course
This course includes descriptions, tutorials (text and video), and samples to orient users to the Canvas environment, tools and features. The course is organized in modules so you can easily jump into any module to learn more about specific features and tools. If you would like to log in to try a sample assignment or quiz, click the Login button at the top-right of the screen, enter student orientation in the Email field and orientation in the Password field.
Canvas Webinar
A webinar is a one hour web-based meeting conducted in real time. As a participant, you go to the webinar site and join a member of The Online Learning Team as he/she shares his/her computer screen and walks you through the features, tools and functionality of the Learning Management System. There are opportunities to ask questions.
