Union of Concerned Scientists - Science-based nonprofit working for a healthy environment and a safer world. World Wildlife Fund - Combines global reach with a foundation in science, involves action at every level from local to global, and ensures the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of both people and nature.
Nature Conservancy - Goal is to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.

Climater Reality Project - Founded by former United States Vice-President and 2007 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Al Gore, this organization seeks to persuade "based on scientific facts" the "importance and urgency of adopting and implementing effective and comprehensive solutions for the climate crisis." Web site contains a blog and links to information on how to do your part to forestall global warming.
Climate Ark - "portal and search engine dedicated to promoting public policy that addresses global climate change through reductions in carbon dioxide and other emissions, renewable energy, energy conservation and ending deforestation." It links to news stories on climate change and global warming, provides an Internet search engine and a browsable directory for the topic and contains links to other news sources such as blogs, archives and more.
Pew Center on Global Climate Change - Anon-profit, non-partisan organization that "brings together business leaders, policy makers, scientists and other experts" to look at "complex and often controversial issues." Global climate change on this Web site includes basic to in depth information which can be viewed as statistics, policy reports, speeches, discussions, business leadership both domestic and global in scope and more.
Envirolink - EnviroLink is a non-profit organization... a grassroots online community that unites hundreds of organizations and volunteers around the world with millions of people in more than 150 countries. EnviroLink is dedicated to providing comprehensive, up-to-date environmental information and news.
Energy and Environment Homepage - Web pages connect you to Federal Trade Commission resources on energy labeling for consumer products, retail sales of electricity, environmental marketing claims, insulation and home energy issues, and fuel and automotive products. Find consumer and business education materials, rulings and statutes, press releases and announcements, and other government documents.
Earthtimes - Global news and information from around the world is all offered free and without subscription on health, homes, property and real estate, insurance, internet issues, kitchen, legal topics, shopping, space, sports, technology, travel, and almost anything that affects the World and our planet, Mother Earth.
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - United Nations panel (IPCC) was established to provide the decision-makers and others interested in climate change with an objective source of information about climate change.
National Environmental Directory - Organizes more than 13,000 organizations in the United States concerned with environmental issues and environmental education.
CDC Environmental Health - Website provides a wealth of information about air quality, asbestos, carbon monoxide poisoning, cruise ship health, hazardous waste sites, lead based paints, mold, rodent control, toxic substances, and education and training information.
Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) - Provided by the Center for Disease Control, this web site gives information about the Avian Influenza also know as Bird Flu. In addition, the site includes categories such as the virus and its spread, prevention, outbreaks, infections in humans, current situation, information for travelers, health professionals and others. The CDC site includes links to seasonal flu and pandemic flu.
Environmental News Network - ENN is a source of online environmental news with RSS feeds available and electronic newsletter distribution. “Our mission is simple: to provide a global perspective on environmental issues, and to promote thought, discussion, and awareness among our readers, our Press Members, our Editorial Affiliates and the other customers we service. ENN's editorial team publishes both original content, sourced affiliate news from our 30 Editorial Affiliates and gathers and filters articles from a variety of other news streams. Our core sources include major wire services like Reuters plus stories from numerous partners, contributors, freelance & citizen journalists, and research associates from around the world.” - Dedicated to providing all the best endangered species information, links, books, and publications regarding rare and endangered species. This site also includes information about conservation efforts and endangered species organizations that are dedicated to saving and preserving the world's most endangered wildlife and plant life
Tox Town - Sponsored by U.S. National Library of Medicine, NIH, and DHHS it provides "information about toxic chemicals and environmental health risks you might encounter in everyday life, in everyday places." Links about locations, such as cities, towns, or farms. Links about chemicals, such as arsenic, lead, or radon.
AAAS Atlas of Population and Environment - The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).site is searchable and provides "maps and graphics that quantify and illustrate many of the issues, and text that lays out the broader links between population dynamics and the environment and places them within their historical perspective." Topics include natural resources, land use, atmosphere, waste and chemicals, ecosystems, and biodiversity. Also includes case studies on specific regions.
