Dr. Evan Lyon shared his experiences working in Haiti with Partners in Health, the charity founded by Dr. Paul Farmer, the subject of Mountains beyond Mountains. Dr. Lyon focused on community-based approaches to HIV and TB treatment, providing primary care in resource-poor settings, and management of chronic disease using community health workers. He has worked in Haiti since 1996.

Craig Andrade, Community Health Speaker.
Craig Andrade, a 1985 graduate of Massasoit’s Nursing Program and a doctoral candidate at Boston University’s School of Public Health, is the Associate Dean of Health and Wellness and Director of Student Health Services at Wheaton College in Norton, MA.
Associate Dean Craig Andrade oversees student health services and directs health promotion and education programming. He works to support individual students and nurture a healthy campus environment drawing from his experience as a nurse, athletic trainer, public health practitioner, strength & conditioning coach and massage therapist. From his diverse backgrounds flows his mission for service, advocacy and empowerment.

Nathan Karrel, Peace Corps Speaker.
Nathan Karrel served in the Peace Corps in El Salvador, Central America, from June 2005 until December 2007 as a Municipal Development Volunteer. Within his role as a Peace Corps Volunteer, Nathan engaged in the capacity building of municipal leaders as well as community leaders in Jayaque, Department of La Libertad. Additionally, Nathan led and organized a variety of life skills workshops with youth of the said locale.
Currently, Nathan is working as an Employment Specialist for the International Institute of Lowell acting as a liaison between the International Institute's clientele, legal-to-work refugees and asylees, and those within the Greater Merrimack Valley's business community, thereby advancing the economic and social vibrancy of all parties involved.
