Friday, Oct. 6		12 Noon	**First Friday for Faculty: “Frederick Law Olmstead: Pioneer of Beauty” Presented by Park Ranger Mark Swartz of the Frederick Law Olmstead NHS Louison Boardroom, Student Center in Brockton
Friday,  Oct. 13			**Field trip to the Emerald Necklace in Boston and Franklin Park Zoo with National Park Services Guide to view Frederick Law Olmstead's Work. Sign up in Student Life Office in Brockton

Wed., Oct. 18		10 am	Bicycle Rally and Rodeo in the Quad. Come cheer on the Day Care children as they round-up their safety course with a bicycle rally officiated by our Massasoit Campus Police. Brockton Campus Quad
Friday, Oct. 20		12 Noon	The Physics of Ferris Wheels presented by Professor Gerald Janey. Come learn about the giant Ferris wheel at the Chicago World's Fair. Why did it work? How big was it? Build your own Ferris wheel. Upper Student Lounge, Student Center in Brockton
Wed., Oct. 25		12 Noon	Movie: Annie Get Your Gun. Annie and Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show played at the Chicago World's Fair. Come see what it was like. Refreshments served. Louison Boardroom, Student Center in Brockton
Wed., Oct. 25		12 Noon	What is a Serial Killer?  Presented by Professor Pat Faiella in the Akillian Room in Canton. Followed by a video on America's first serial killer. Refreshments served.

Friday, Nov. 3		12 Noon	**Panel Discussion:  Vice President Barbara Finkelstein will lead a panel of  faculty, staff and students in a discussion of minorities at the Chicago World's fair in 1893. Tuesday, Nov. 14		12 Noon	Music by  the Senior Orchestra. Come listen to music of the Gay Nineties (1890's, that is). Dress appropriately for the period. The best 3 gay nineties costumes will win a prize . Upper Student Lounge, Student Center in Brockton

Join faculty, staff, and students in reading The Devil in the White City, attend events, participate in the fun, enjoy refreshments of the period. All events are free. Copies of The Devil in the White City for loan and free promotional pins are available in the Massasoit Community College Libraries.
