Currently enrolled Massasoit Community College students and currently employed faculty and teaching academic staff are eligible to borrow laptops. All users must abide by the Check-Out Policy for Laptops and agree to the following rules and regulations:

• This form must be signed and dated for each checkout.
• Valid Massasoit Community College Student, Faculty Teaching Academic Staff or Staff ID with barcode AND state ID or driver’s license is required for checkout.
• One laptop per person.
• The laptop is not to leave the Massasoit Library.
• Laptops may not be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only.
• Laptops must be returned to a Circulation staff member.
• Laptops are due 2 hours after they’re checked out (allow 10 minutes for inspection.) All laptops are to be returned no later than one hour before the Library closes.
• Users must adhere to copyright regulations regarding software and internet usage.
• Users will be held liable for replacement charges for lost or damaged equipment. Replacement cost for a laptop is $2,000 plus cost for additional accessories.
• Do not leave the laptop unattended.
• The Massasoit Library is not responsible for any damage to user’s secondary storage (CDs, Floppy Disk, ZIP Disk, etc.) or loss of data due to malfunctioning Massasoit hardware/software.
• Important: Data is automatically deleted when the laptop is turned off.
