Ben Warnick

Ben Warnick

Ben Warnick joined the Massasoit Community College athletic department in August of 2013 as an Assistant Athletic Director. Warnick will oversee all public relations efforts for the Warriors’ six athletic programs, along with assisting in game-day management and heading the intramural programs.

Warnick comes to Massasoit after working the last two years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) as an Assistant Media Relations Director. He served as the primary media contact for men's basketball during his second year in Birmingham along with covering baseball, volleyball, bowling and rifle over both seasons. He also aided the public relations efforts for the Blazer football program.

Prior to working in Birmingham, Warnick worked at Conference USA foe Marshall University, where he spent two years as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information Department. He was the primary contact for volleyball and baseball and assisted the media relations tasks for football and men’s and women’s basketball.

Warnick spent the 2007-08 academic year serving as an intern in the media relations department at Boston College. At BC, he performed SID duties for the baseball, swimming, tennis and volleyball programs. He also assisted with the promotion of current NFL quarterback Matt Ryan.

Other media relations experience for Warnick includes time with the Holyoke Giants of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. and East Carolina University, in Greenville, N.C. He has also assisted with the Conference USA Men’s Soccer Championship, the NCAA College Cup for two years and the BBVA Compass Bowl.

Warnick earned a master's of science degree in athletic administration from Marshall in 2011. In 2007, he received his bachelor's of science degree with a concentration in sports management and a minor in business administration from Colby-Sawyer.

A fierce competitor on the diamond for the CSC Chargers, Warnick was a four-year catcher on the baseball team for head coach Jim Broughton.

A native of South Deerfield, Mass., Warnick currently resides in Whitman, Mass.
