Books and Supplies
The Bookstore is located at both campuses (Student Center, lower level at the Brockton campus). Books can cost anywhere from $20 to $150 each, depending on the course. For students demonstrating high financial need, financial aid funds may be available to assist with these costs. Please refer to the Financial Aid Programs section for application procedures.
Student Billing Cycle
If student accounts are not paid in full by the billing due date, the student will lose all his/her classes. Attempts at rescheduling may not allow the student to reinstate a lost schedule. Massasoit has been experiencing a significant increase in enrollment, and courses fill quickly. We urge all students to pay their bills within stated time frames to avoid this situation. |
Financial Aid Programs
Students apply for all state and federal programs by completing and mailing the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” (FAFSA) and the Massasoit Community College Financial Aid Application. |
| Programs consist of Grants and Scholarships, Student Loans, and Federal Work Study. All programs are available for full and part time students who enroll in all degree and most certificate programs, register for at least 2 (3 credit) courses or more per semester, have a high school diploma or G.E.D., and meet other eligibility criteria as outlined in the college catalog. |
| Students should file financial aid applications as early as possible, but applications are accepted throughout the school year. Students expecting financial aid funds to pay their student accounts must observe financial aid deadlines. |
| Call (508) 588-9100, x1479 (Massasoit Community College Financial Aid Office) for application and information. |

| The taxpayer is eligible for the maximum benefit with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of up to $40,000 for a single taxpayer ($80,000 for married taxpayers). The credit amount is phased-out between $40,000 - $50,000 for single taxpayers (or $80,000 - $100,000 for married taxpayers). |
| An eligible student must be enrolled at least half time in an eligible program leading to a degree or certificate during the calendar year and must be in his or her first two years of study. |
The Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
