| When will my advisor be available? [ top ] |
| For the Registration Day, your advisor will have a list posted outside his/her office for you to schedule an advising appointment. Note that the time listed in the Cafeteria, Brockton campus or the Registrar’s office, Canton campus is the time for you to register on the computer. You should see your advisor before your registration time. Some advisors may see advisees before this day. We encourage you to contact your advisor prior to registration day to set up your advising appointment. |
How do I access Banner? [ top ]
• Go to Massasoit’s Homepage (www.massasoit.mass.edu). Click on the “MyMassaoit login” graphic link in upper left. • This takes you to a logon page for the MyMassasoit web portal. • Enter your MyMassasoit ID in the User Name block and your password and click the Login button.
Signing on For the First Time
• You will be prompted to enter your MyMassasoit ID and password. Your initial password defaults to your birth date in mmddyy format. For example, if you were born on June 2, 1988 your initial password would be 060288. During your initial login you will be prompted to change your date of birth to a new password.
• You then may be prompted to answer several questions, providing answers for the retrieval of your password at a later date, in case it is forgotten.
Note: The system will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity.
How do I access my degree Audit? [ top ]
Accessing Degree Evaluation
• After Entering Banner Self-Service, click on “Student Services & Financial Aid”.
• Click on “Student Records”.
• Click on “Degree Evaluation”.
• Select the current term and then “Submit”.
• At the bottom of the “Degree Evaluation Record” page, click “Generate New Evaluation”.
• Click “Program” circle, select a term, and then click “Generate Request”.
• Choose from the options available, and then “Submit”. |

Registration Dates:
Canton Day Degree Students - Starting November 10, 2009 at assigned time.
Brockton Day Degree Students - Starting November 17, 2009 at assigned time.
Evening Degree Students - Starting November 18, 2009 on the Web, starting November 23, 2009 in Registrar's Office
Non-Degree Returning Students - Starting November 23, 2009 on the Web, by fax, mail, or in person in the Registrar's Office. |
| We prioritize registration times based on the student’s hours earned. For example, students who have accumulated 60 hours will register at 9:00 a.m. on Registration day while first year students register in the afternoon. |

Can I drop or add a class after I register? [ top ]
On-line add/drop for the Spring 2010 semester is available through January 6, 2010. Walk-in add/drop is available through the first week
of the semester.
Click on “Spring Registration”. Click on “Add/Drop Classes”.
If you receive a message that states “You are not permitted to register at this time”, you can find out the reason by clicking “Return to Menu” then clicking “Check Your Registration Status”.
Select appropriate term, and then click “Submit”.
To Add a Course
Scroll down to enter CRNs (Course Registration Numbers), then click “Submit Changes” to view your current schedule.
If you want to see the course selections or if you do not know the CRN, click “Class Search”. This will allow you to select variables to narrow your search before clicking on “Class Search” again on this screen. Check the box to the right of the course you want, and then scroll down to click on one of the boxes at the bottom of the page (Register, Add to Worksheet, Class Search). Once you click on the “Register” box, your Current Schedule will appear.
Note “Status” on left. If you receive a Registration Error*, the registration for that particular course did not go through and the reason will be listed under “Status”.
*You may repeat a course if your grade was below a C-; however, it may show as a “Registration Error”. In this instance, the message is only a warning to you to confirm your selection. It will still allow you to register for the repeat course.
To Drop a Course
Under “Action” click “Drop Web” next to the course you want to drop, then scroll down and click “Submit Changes”. If no options are listed in the “Action” field, then the class cannot be dropped. If this is a problem, go to the Registrar’s Office.To Exit or go back, scroll up and use the menu on the top right hand side of the page. The Registrar’s Office is located in the Administration Building (A240) on the Brockton campus and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.The Registrar’s Office is located in the Administrative Wing on the Canton campus and is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. |

| How do I find out what courses transfer into another institution? [ top ] |
| For transfer information, students come to the Advisement and Counseling Center located in the lower level of the Student Center next to the ARC in Brockton and the Student Services area in Canton. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor to discuss transfer options early in their college experience. Joint Admissions forms and information as well as transfer information on many schools is available. |

| Massasoit Community College participates in the MassTransfer program with the Massachusetts public colleges and universities. Depending on the final grade point average,
Massasoit students graduating from MassTransfer programs and transfer within the public higher education system are eligible for certain benefits such as waiver of application fees, satisfaction of core requirements guarantees participating students admission to these institutions, provided that they graduate from an approved academic program at Massasoit Community College with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor in the Advisement and Counseling Center to go over the details and requirements for this program. |

| I have an incomplete. How do I make up my incomplete? [ top ] |
| An Incomplete may be given by the instructor if at least a MAJORITY of the course work has been completed. In this event, the student is required to contact the instructor as soon as possible, certainly no later than 30 days after the semester, to determine how the work will be made up. |
| If the student is unable to contact the instructor as soon as possible, he/she should inform the Registrar in writing of the efforts to make contact and intent to make up the work. The grade of I will remain open through the following semester (summer session excluded) at which time, if not changed by the instructor, the grade of I becomes an F. |

| Make an appointment with a counselor in the Advisement and Counseling Center to review your degree audit. Fill out a diploma order form in the Registrar's Office as early as possible. |

| You can find your instructor listed on the College website. Many times the instructor is listed as “staff” and will be known closer to the beginning of the semester. |
