Center for Lifelong Learning

The Center for Lifelong Learning at Massasoit Community College provides senior citizens from throughout the community ageless learning opportunities through engaging and meaningful activities.  The Center actively supports the mission of the College through the creation of a supportive environment that encourages self-knowledge, community involvement and global awareness and continues to assess and respond to the need of our extended communities. Programs are designed to collaborate efforts within the Massasoit campuses as well as developing partnerships with businesses, government, health care providers and service organizations.

Each semester the Center for Lifelong Learning offers participants opportunities promoting overall health and wellness through a variety of diverse events. From a monthly history book club to yoga and Zumba Gold classes, participants jump right in and enjoy it all! The Center’s  Chorus and Orchestra join together after a semester of weekly rehearsals to perform December and May concerts at the Buckley Center for Performing Arts as well as area nursing and rehabilitation centers.

Academic based programs include Academy Days,  Seminars, a Humanities Guest Speaker Series, and the Summer Institute - all of which promote social, cultural, and multicultural experiences.

The Women's Resource Center

The WRC provides a supportive campus climate with a wide range of services to students, staff, faculty and the community, which advocates for institutional, political and social change to meet the needs of women. Various programs and activities include a month-long celebration of Women’s History Month that highlights achievements of women locally, nationally and globally.
