- On September 2nd Vice President Finkelstein attended a regional accreditation meeting at UMass Boston to discuss the new standards
- Web Manager James Lynch created an accreditation web link from Massasoit’s home page
- The afternoon of Fall Convocation (September 17th) was devoted to an “Accreditation Kick-Off”. Chairs and liaisons were introduced and a brief overview of the accreditation process was given. Breakout sessions for each of the eleven standards were held and visited by Professors Schaub and Stevenson, and Vice President Finkelstein.
- A meeting of chairs and liaisons took place on October 6. Documents from the 1996 accreditation process and the 5 th year interim report were distributed.
- Professors Schaub and Stevenson, Vice President Finkelstein and President Wall attended the NEASC Self-Study Workshop on October 14 – 15 to receive training for the upcoming accreditation.
- Marge Vogel was hired as part-time secretary for accreditation effective October 12. The accreditation office will be in LA115 and is in the process of being furnished.
- A meeting was held with Phil Urbano on October 12 to establish a priority list for computer upgrades for committee members, identify topics for computer training sessions, and design a system for posting drafts of documents in public folders.
