The following is an update of accreditation activities for January/February 2006:
On January 9 th the Steering Committee met: accommodations for the visiting team, convocation, and the preliminary Chair visit were discussed; an update on the Self-Study drafts was also given.
Tracey Schaub and Peg Stevenson made a presentation to the Board of Trustees at the January 11 th meeting.
On January 12 th Peg Stevenson, Tracey Schaub, Vice President Finkelstein and the Accreditation Chairs had an all-day meeting to give the Chairs an opportunity to present their self-study drafts to the group in preparation for Convocation.
Several Chairs met with appropriate Vice Presidents to work on their Projections for their drafts.
Updated drafts of Standards were posted to the Public Folders under Accreditation/Drafts of Self-Study.
Peg Stevenson and Tracey Schaub met with committees to review drafts and provide feedback.
Peg Stevenson and Tracey Schaub began to revise and edit some sections of the Self-Study.
The Chair of Public Disclosure, Co-Chairs of Accreditation, and Human Resource and IT personnel met to discuss appropriate listing of personnel on the Web.
On February 3rd, 235 College personnel (administrators, faculty, staff, and students) gathered for lunch and afternoon presentations by the 11 Chairs of the Self-Study. Participants had the opportunity to attend two sessions and provide feedback. This was a particularly valuable day since faculty have been on work-to-rule and College input is a vital part of the self-study process. In the future, afternoon coffee hours will take place to elicit additional feedback.
