Course Information The purpose of this program is to
explore the rich and exciting cultural,
literary and artistic contributions of
men and women of Irish descent. The
millions of Irish who emigrated to
America, especially during the 19th
and 20th centuries, have made a
profound impact on this country.
Massasoit is one of the only colleges
in the country to offer students the
opportunity to complete a certificate in
Irish-American Studies.
Study in Ireland
Each year several Massasoit students
attend a three week course, “Irish Life
and Literature”, at the University of
Limerick, in Limerick, Ireland.
Students live on campus while taking
the course and also participate in
excursions to Dublin and other places
of interest.
