The Funeral Service Transfer Certificate
program is a twenty-seven credit
program which offers the student the
required courses necessary to advance
toward an associate degree, along with
an introduction to the social, cultural and
historical foundations of funeral service.
Students who complete Massasoit
Community College’s Funeral Service
Transfer Certificate Program may
transfer those credits into Mt. Ida’s
Associate Degree in Funeral Service, the
Bachelor of Funeral Home Management,
or the Bachelor of Bereavement.
Attainment of the Associate Degree in
Funeral Service is necessary for
licensure as a funeral service
professional.

Admissions Requirements
• Submit an application form to the Admissions office.
• Submit official High School or GED transcript and official College transcripts.
• Complete Required College Placement Tests* in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
