| The Tech Prep Program is a collaboration between high schools, vocational educational schools and area colleges. The purpose of this program is to develop a learning continuum that will enable students to progress from high school to college with a focus on a career program. |
| Through a coordinated plan with high school guidance counselors and teachers, students usually are introduced to Tech Prep in the tenth grade, and begin the program in their junior year. |
| The program is designed to incorporate both academic and vocational skills into the curriculum in order to better prepare students to meet the standards of post-secondary career programs. |
| As part of the process, articulation agreements between high schools and post-secondary institutions are strongly encouraged. The purpose of these agreements is to provide a successful and smooth transition between the career programs of the two institutions. |
Massasoit is a member of three Tech Prep Consortia: Southeastern Mass, Metro Boston, and Metro West.
