The following grades are not included in the QPA;
W Withdrawn. A "W" indicates withdrawal from a 15-week course by the end of the 10th week of classes. The withdrawal period for courses that are less than 15 weeks long will be prorated accordingly. Students who withdraw from the College any time after the first week will receive W’s for all their courses. Withdrawal from the College terminates a degree program.
I Incomplete. An "I" may be given by the instructor if at least a MAJORITY of the course work has been completed. In this event, the student is required to contact the instructor as soon as possible, certainly no later than 30 days after the semester, to determine how the work will be made up. If the student is unable to contact the instructor as soon as possible, he/she should inform the Registrar in writing of the efforts to make contact and intent to make up the work. The grade of "I" will remain open through the following semester (summer sessions excluded) at which time, if not changed by the instructor, the grade of "I" becomes an "F".
AU Audit indicates permission to sit in a course and is granted at the time of registration on a space-available basis. An audit may not be changed to full registration nor may full registration be changed to an audit after the beginning of the course.
P A letter grade of "P" (Pass) is given to successful completion of certain internships, practicums, community service, and other courses. This grade has no impact on the QPA. Credits earned with a "P" grade count towards graduation.
Repeating a Course
A course in which a student received a C- or below, may be repeated. The higher grade received will be averaged into the cumulative GPA. All grades, however, will appear on the student’s transcript. |
